Andy Miller, MHSE, MCHES
Andy Miller is a Principal with MillerStephens & Associates, a strategic consulting firm specializing in non-profit, healthcare and social change initiatives. He is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist and has built his career developing strategic partnerships and award-winning programs to improve the public’s health. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President of the LIVESTRONG Foundation where he developed partnerships with organization such as the YMCA, American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Commission on Cancer, Patient Advocate Foundation, the Joint Commission, the International Union for Cancer Control, and dozens of cancer-related organizations and academic research institutions. In 2000, he directed the Physician Oncology Education Program for the Texas Medical Association, bringing together all Texas medical schools and major specialty societies to implement statewide continuing cancer-education action plans and activities. He received his Master’s degree in Health Science Education from the University of Florida which named him Outstanding Young Alumnus in 2006. He is also a graduate of the Strategic Management Program of the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service at the University of Texas at Austin. 2012, Mr. Miller was awarded the Innovators Award by the Center to Advance Palliative Care and named a Terrance Keegan Fellow by Grantmakers in Health. He is a graduate of Leadership Austin, serves on numerous boards and committees and is a frequently requested domestic and international speaker. In 2013, he co-founded The Handsome Father, a non-profit organization that fosters a community of support to connect, equip and inspire gay fathers and fathers-to-be.
